Katie Lu joins HK Recruiting with a unique background blending technical and commercial experience. After graduating with her Master’s degree from Auburn University, Katie joined a well-respected anti-viral drug discovery and pharmacology lab. She quickly excelled and completed various research studies on thirteen different viruses – including BSL3 work on Chikungunya and SARS-CoV-2. Her research is published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals. Katie took a leap into a commercial technical sales role with an emerging single-cell proteomics startup where she combined her technical acumen and soft skills to help other researchers.  As a recruiter, Katie utilizes her background to efficiently understand complex technologies and applications, as well as their target markets. She has a history of overachieving and enjoys taking on the challenge of finding the perfect candidate. She lives on the Eastern Shore of Alabama with her husband and two dogs.
